A call for volunteers to join the Hub @ Banks – Volunteers’ charity
Work is underway to upgrade the football pitches at the Hub @ Banks and there are exciting plans to improve community and social facilities, which include:
- establishing a community café,
- upgrading the bar area,
- providing a community garden for keen gardeners, and
- a new play area for children
Alongside this, the volunteers’ group is forming a registered charity to expand activities for charitable purposes to serve the community of Banks and surrounding areas.
The volunteers’ charity’s first project will be to set up a monthly luncheon club to provide an additional community resource and to reduce social isolation.
We are looking for a range of people with time to give, to join us – you may wish to get involved in our developing projects or you may have practical skills to help us improve or maintain the building for local use.
